New and Modernised Aluminium Furnaces for Henan Mingtai

Henan Mingtai Aluminium Industrial Co., Ltd. has signed two significant contracts with the international technology group Andritz, focusing on the advancement of aluminium furnaces.

The first contract involves the supply of a 120-ton furnace cell, which includes both a melting furnace and a holding furnace. The second contract concerns the modernisation of five existing 60-ton melting furnaces. The new furnace cell is set to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2026.

This new 120-ton furnace cell will become the largest aluminium melting and holding unit at Henan Mingtai, poised to greatly enhance the company’s production capacity and diversify its product offerings. The modernisation initiatives aim to improve the melting rates, enhance overall efficiency, and lower fuel consumption by utilising advanced technologies such as modern regenerative burners.

Moreover, the integration of digitalisation features is expected to facilitate better process control and enhance operational reliability.
