Title: Advanced Automation for Aluminium Extrusion in Industrial Construction
EAS Aluminium is poised to enhance the industrial construction sector with the launch of a new extrusion facility covering 35,000 m² within the Edirne Organised Industrial Zone. This investment aims to significantly boost production capabilities while prioritizing efficiency and sustainability.
The decision to build this state-of-the-art facility comes on the heels of growing demand for high-quality aluminium profiles used in construction and architecture, driven by trends toward more complex geometries and heightened surface quality demands. Yunus Emre Düzyurt, Founder of EAS Aluminium Group, states, “Our existing production lines have achieved notable success, but the rising market needs have necessitated an upgrade in capacity, efficiency, and flexibility to ensure we meet our customers’ expectations swiftly and accurately.”
The new extrusion plant will utilize advanced technologies, enabling faster delivery times and improved quality control throughout the production process. The investment includes a full extrusion press line equipped with energy-saving systems and automation to enhance operational reliability.
The forthcoming facility will feature multiple extrusion lines meeting European standards, with an annual capacity projected at 30,000 tons. Key features include:
- High Automation: The plant is designed for minimal manual intervention, streamlining processes from material handling to packaging, thus optimizing production workflows.
- Energy Efficiency: Implementing the Presezzi Front Loading Extrusion line will significantly reduce energy consumption, aligning with sustainability goals.
- Integrated Solutions: The entire manufacturing process—from billet loading and heating to extrusion, cooling, and cutting—is interconnected, enhancing precision and quality management.
The construction of the facility is underway, with installation of the extrusion line scheduled for late 2024, and production anticipated to commence in the second quarter of 2026. This initiative positions EAS Aluminium as a competitive player in the European aluminium market, renowned for its commitment to innovative and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.
For contractors and plant engineers, this development signifies:
- Access to a broader range of high-quality aluminium profiles that meet stringent industry standards.
- Opportunities to incorporate advanced materials into construction projects, enhancing design flexibility and sustainability.
- The potential for reduced lead times due to improved manufacturing efficiency, ultimately decreasing project turnaround.
